These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed with The Norfolk Curtain Maker for curtain making, blinds, alterations and soft furnishing services.
All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued. Quotes are based on the information provided by the client including measurements, fabric choice and design specifications. Any changes requested after acceptance may result in a revised quotation.
A 20% deposit is required before work begins and to secure booking of the project. Orders will not be scheduled until the deposit has been received.
Deposits are non‑refundable once work has commenced or materials have been ordered.
The remaining balance must be paid before collection or installation of finished items.
Finished goods may be retained until payment has been received in full.
Where fabrics or materials are supplied by the client, The Norfolk Curtain Maker cannot be held responsible for:
-Fabric flaws, weaving faults or dye inconsistencies
-Fabric shrinkage during making or cleaning
-Fabric that proves unsuitable for the intended use
-Insufficient quantities of fabric supplied
Fabric quantities remain the responsibility of the client unless calculated and ordered by The Norfolk Curtain Maker.
If measurements are provided by the client, The Norfolk Curtain Maker cannot accept responsibility for inaccuracies resulting from incorrect measurements.
A free professional measuring service can be provided upon request.
Where blinds include cords or chains, safety devices will be supplied in accordance with BS EN 13120 child safety standards.
Clients are responsible for ensuring safety devices such as cord cleats or chain tensioners remain installed and used correctly after installation.
Where installation is included, the working area must be clear and accessible prior to the appointment. Additional work required during installation may incur additional charges.
The Norfolk Curtain Maker cannot be responsible for the structural suitability of curtain poles, tracks or fixings supplied by the client.
Estimated completion times will be discussed at the time of ordering. These may vary depending on fabric availability and workload.
Clients will be notified when items are ready. Items should be collected within 14 days unless otherwise agreed.
Completed work may be photographed for portfolio or promotional purposes unless the client requests otherwise.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
